anyone know of a source for M7-1.00 screws
Like this but any form of stainless steel:
McMaster-Carr
It's for a shift shaft pinch bolt and I want to turn the end that sticks out to M6-1.00 to install a quickshifter sensor that has a 6mm hole size
Thanks

My local really useful tool and fixings shop in the UK where we're metric doesn't carry ANYTHING M7, it's a Very Special size with prices to match...

Drill 6.8 mm and tap M8, or buy the helicoil gubbins for M6, otherwise you / the next guy is going to be cursing when the Very Special Size Bolt disappears never to be seen again in a clean, swept, empty workshop...

I use 7mm often and stainless is not common (Italian motorcycles). And if you can find it, expensive. Ebay is usually the only place to find stainless in 7mm. I don't know why but it seems to be a more common size on ebay in titanium and that is what I get.

There are times when ebay does not have what I need and have to make them.
