Default Source for Small Hand Taps and Dies

Could anyone suggest a source for small, quality taps and dies (I've looked around on the internet, and mc-master). I'm looking for things in the M1.4x0.3 size range. Looking for hand/manual-machine taps and dies, not things for automated/cnc-only equipment. Thanks in advance for your time and any suggestions!

Being a Brit, I've no direct experience, but Victor are often cited, and their prices are reasonable.

Metric Taps - Taper, Plug, Bottoming, and Spiral Point - millimeter sizes.

Metric Dies | Adjustable, High Speed, & Round Dies

Your local Fastenal has good stuff, on the shelf, or readily shipped. Prices are fair.

I've always liked what I've gotten from KBC. They've got a better than average selection of metric to choose from and it's usually quality Eastern Europe production.

Otherwise Taylor is a good choice. A bit more expensive but they have an extensive selection of metric to choose from.

I get mine here: Spiral Point Taps | MSCDirect.com

If you don't want spiral point: Straight Flute Taps - MSCDirect.com

I usually prefer Hertel, but they only go down to 1.5X.35

I know a lot of guys bad-mouth MSC, but they've treated me very well and give me a great discount. Their free next-day shipping upgrade can really save the day sometimes.

Sorry to flog a mundane topic. But I've still been unable to find a source for *quality* M1.4 x 0.3 mm dies and taps. McMaster, Fastenal, Grainger, doesn't carry down that small, MSC has some special-order brand name, MSC and Travers have their "house" brands, as well as Victor, which I suspect would be poor quality on a miniature die (I've already tried a no-name die and it was junk). Thanks again! Cheers.

I found one company, The Tap & Die Company, London England. They carry small metric taps and dies. Their website infers they ship worldwide. Do a search.

The smallest tap I have/use is M2.5 but when I Google M1.4 I find many options.

MSC has Walter and Dormer both in stock. I'm not familiar with Walter, but Dormer is a good brand. As for house-brand, mhc, one of MSC's brands is also very good.
