Default Takisawa Turning Center, TC-3 Error 12

    Takisawa Turning Center:
    Model TC-3
    Mach. No. THUX 7521
Fanuc Spindle Servo Unit (Complete): A06B-6055-H112
Fanuc, Spindle Drive (Front Board Only) P/N, A20B-1001-0120
    Fanuc A/C Spindle Motor: A06B -1012 - B (201)
Error Code: ER- 12 (On Drive)
    1) Power up turning center (No errors). 2) Axis functions all work. 3) Motor Tach. Feedback works. 4) As soon as a command is sent to the spindle drive for rotation, ER-12 shows on drive board. (No chuck rotation visible).
    2) Circuit board A20B-1001-0120 replace with $800 board off of E-Bay, with swapped E-Prom chips. Same symptoms as #1)
    3) Can A/C spindle motor be tested with 3 phase power for functionality?
    4) Does anyone have a schematic of the ‘Over Heat Alarm” OH1 and OH2 circuit? Or, complete machine schematic?
    5) Does anyone know who would be capable of testing the motor and drive unit. Possibly in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
    6) Can motor be tested as a standard 3 Phase Motor?
    7) Any other ideas what could be causing this issue?

Friend, though it sounds like your problem is slightly different, look at this thread; Lathe still down!

Mine was destroyed by a power spike, and a technician swapping spindle drives installed one for a non lathe.
