Look on the bright side, maybe there will be a buyback...hold on to that dusty clapped out mill in the corner.

"The Raskin-Cicilline legislation will prohibit the sale of metal milling machines that turn private individuals into de facto gun manufacturers and dealers in their own homes. These types of machines are readily available and reasonably inexpensive for someone seeking to finish and sell black market weapons. Just as there is no background check or oversight over the sale of ghost gun kits, there is also an absence of regulation of these milling machines."

Congressmen Introduce Bill Banning ‘Ghost Gun’ Milling Machines - GunsAmerica Digest

They also should out law files, hack saws, hand drill motors, lathes, hand held and bench grinders, drill bits, surface grinders, tool bits and vises..as the can also make guns...

Knives, hammers, any kind of hard pipe, boat anchors ,bricks, field stones and rocks, screw drivers, heavy coffee mugs should be banned from common people's use..way to dangerous .

likely this Grubberment Guy should take a high school level machine shop class to see what these tools can do.

Actually such a person should get a job as a machine shop sweeper..likely with time he/she could be trained to push a broom....

Our Michigan Grubber nor is not even that dumb.

I think this is more of an attempt to go after the guy that makes the ghost gun milling machine without saying so. Those machines sell for $2,400 a pop and has a huge backlog for them. The people that buy them rent out the cycle for around $150. I have seen it at many gun shows and gun stores when I was stateside. A guy rents a boothe, Sets the machine on the table, Sells an AR lower forging for $20-$30, You drop it into the fixture in the machine and press cycle start and after a couple of manual tool changes out pops an unregistered AR lower.

Totally legal since you are allowed to manufacture your own firearm, just illegal to ever sell it. I have to admit, the guy that designed that thing is pretty slick.....

OMFG. I already mentioned that banning guns, which are a TOOL, is ignorant. (And just for the smartass dickhead in that thread that got locked before I could respond asking me how I use a gun as a tool: it's called hunting dipshit! And yep I do it, and yes I eat what I shoot! They are also tools for self defense...) Now they are literally going after the regular everyday tools. Fucking unbelievable. We are certainly in the decline of U.S. civilization. Totally understand how the (intelligent and pragmatic) Romans must have felt.

My understanding is that it's only legal if you own the machines used to manufacture the firearm, so renting out some machine time would be a no-no if you wanted a legal unregistered weapon. If you don't care about the law however, all bets are off anyway :willy_nilly:

USA people should not make anything...you can buy stuff from China and Amazon...USA people should be content to just plant flowers and sit there to watch them grow...Yes with wearing a mask..but I am not a doctor so don't tell anyone I said mask.

QT: [and yes I eat what I shoot!} but you can just go to the store and buy food..oh wait on lockdown you/we have no money???. Everybody could go knock out store windows and take food.

So stupid I think the gun lobby must have suggested it to manufacture outrage

As most of you know I am not a gun guy, but find all 'obscure' machining fascinating, gunsmithing included.

Paying a guy to watch his machine machine your receiver is not exactly 'gunsmithing' but this is not the answer.

Why buy backs when they could turn it into a revenue stream? NICS checks on all Bridgeport sales, for a small fee of course. Then tracking devices installed (paid for by you) with a monthly service fee. Eventually they'll make you have live feed wifi cameras pointing at the table with an AI algorithm that goes off anytime it sees a gun part shaped object

I think naming it the "ghost gunner" is downright foolish, but hey what do I know. :D

Also find it quite amusing he repeatedly says "it's just a chunk of aluminum, nothing strange, just a chuck of aluminum". Looks like a forging/casting of a lower to me. :rolleyes5:

Knives, hammers, any kind of hard pipe, boat anchors ,bricks, field stones and rocks, screw drivers, heavy coffee mugs ..and irons They are pointed on one end, very heavy and have a holding handle...wow! they are dangerous.

Inn before the Loche.

Our Socialist government here in Kanuckistan just cut to the chase and without any input from the electorate or discussion in Parliament banned some 1500 "scary looking" rifles, including shotguns and 22's.

Ya'll hang onto your Second Amendment rights down there now, ya hear!

It's only in the House. The Senate will not agree. Publicity stunt.

I've heard that a Presidential election is coming.

Think that has anything to do with it?

Silly season is upon us.
