I think it looks great and far more time, effortt, and money went into that one item than just going to the nearest flower supply site, And buying a dozen of their best. Hope she appreciates the thought.

I've made these in the past and used welded a hemisphere to the bottom of the stem to support the flower freely without the need of a vase.
Looks good hopefully you have better luck than I with them appreciating the effort it takes to make one of these.

Somewhere around here I have rose that was laser cut out of galvanized sheet metal. Doesn't look anywhere near as cool as yours.
