way OT anyone been to a concert at the MGM Grand in Detroit?

Never been to a concert there myself, but was down there last year for a concert at Ford Field...I didn't attend the concert, just drove some people down and then went and drank at various establishments until that concert let out.

I don't know if it was dumb luck or because it was new at the time, but I ended up parking in the Little Caesar's Arena garage for like 5 bucks. It was eerie how empty it was. First level had about 4 vehicles on it including mine.

Anyways, parked there and walked around town, then walked back. MGM is within walking distance of that garage for sure, but maybe far enough away that no one wants to park there, which could be why it was so open when I went.

The area is pretty easy to get to assuming no construction, which I cannot vouch for. From 75 get off on 3rd and you're right in the heart of it.

When I go down there I gotta make some extra time to get a schwarma from Bucharest. Not authentic cuisine by any stretch, but really damn good. If you aren't into that kinda thing there's a place called Sweetwater Tavern that's not too far off MGM that has some of the best wings I've ever eaten.

This is solid advice. I went to Bucharest twice while I was in Detroit for Gear Expo and it was fantastic.

I was at this festival. I really liked how it was organized. Everything was done in the history style. People eaten food in coaches. Speakers with music were on the big columns. These columns were very high. I liked how was positioned led equipment. It was very cool. I asked them how they did the rental of scenes and equipment. They said they had no problem with it. The ontourevents.co.uk did everything honestly and without any problems. Just the organizers of this event had problems with landlords before.

I have not, but the area is not a problem finding parking, etc. You'll obviously have to pay, unless the casino validates, but you'll be able to get parking.
