Looked at the stats for the new Stanko lathes. They used to be a maker of heavy duty Eastern Europe tools. These new ones seem very light weight for their size. Made in China?

Nice simple interface.

Has subset of functionality of the SWI equiped XYZ lathes
we have at work . they are very productive on short runs , I can imagine this being similarly useful.

Always fancied building a lathe like it myself :-)

What are those round things with a piece sticking out used for? Several in the vid. They turn? Seems like you could catch your lab coat pocket on one of them. And just how do you link that thing to your smartphone? Fak, I can do that with my oven.

Jayzus. Manual lathe makers are dying out? You don't say. Never would have guessed. It's only been happening for the last 30 or 40 years.
