Oh... I re-read your post. What you're wanting is the "female" half of a what is commonly used on gates and swinging barn doors... You, obviously want something smaller than that, as even something small like a stall door hinge is pretty big.
Look up "detachable hinge" or "two piece hinge". Might be able to buy just the female half. At the local hardware stores, they sell the M and F sides of the hinges separately.

AHA! It's called a "flag hinge". I've always called them gate hinges, since that's the only place I've used them...

guide for a 1/4 or 3/8" rod. need to mount it on the inside top and bottom of a cabinet.
Run a rod through it to lock the door.
I did this for a gun box in wood with brass rods, close the top and it locked the front flap.
I know what it is !
