that fits at the end of the surface grinder table? The sheet metal piece where the hose attaches to and is usually screwed to the table end. Thanks

I wanted to add one to my 6 in horizontal belt sander which creates a ton of dust. I could not find one either so I used a floor nozzle from a wet and dry shop vac. I screwed it to the back just where the dust comes off the belt and it even has a place to connect the hose. Completely solved the problem for little or nothing invested.

My 1929 Brown & Sharpe No. 2 surface grinder came with a dust collector hose nipple cast into the wheel guard. The left end of the table has an upright shield to deflect grit that the vacuum misses down to the table's end well. I certainly would not want my dust collector hose to be attached to the table, causing it to wear out as it moves back and forth and rubs against stationary things.

Part no. 639 is called "wheel guard."
