What are my options to upgrade a MT4/grub screw spindle tool holder arrangement?

I just picked up a patterns makers mill and it has no draw bar in the solid spindle and a MT4 taper with a grub screw to secure the tooling.

I am thinking the normal assortment of drills bits, end mills, face mills boring heads and bars etc.

What are the options to upgrade this to a faster and more flexible setup?
I have some split bushings which came OEM which convert to straight shaft in 3/4" and a 5/8" with additionally is bushed to 3/8" and 1/4"
I suppose if I just had a 1/2" and 1" bushing I would be in ok shape but would like something faster to use and with many multiples to have a rack of commons set up to use.
I would find it painful to make up those split bushings and I am not finding them to buy.

I am thinking Albrecht has a keyless chuck for end mills which could be used purchased for the largest straight bushing I can get which is probably 1"

I also need a simple drill chuck but an Albrecht keyless will serve with a 3/4" straight arbor.

This is the sort of tooling that came with machine.
That index face mill is mine and on a 3/4" arbor set into the 3/4" bushing that fits to the mt4 mill spindle.

This is the spindle- sorry for the small pics- I don't seem fluent enough to control when these show up as larger or thumbnails...
Or thumbnails which are much larger when selected- how is that done- it is hit or miss for me- sometimes large, sometimes not.

^ Did you say you had a lathe ? :D

I would find it painful to make up a bunch of those split collets- I could do it sure but they should be ground and hard to get reasonable TIR?
I don't have that capability in the shop.
As a last resort I will turn something and would no doubt get usable tooling- FAR sooner will be a look see at Ebay UK to buy up some old tooling.

I can get by for a while on the 5/8" and 3/4" collets I have for the spindle.

I was thinking more along the lines of making one spindle that held some NMTB taper.

Alternatively, you could make a permanent TG or ER or whichever you prefer collet holder that would be a permanent fit in the existing spindle. But I think a custom spindle would be cleaner and maybe easier.
