I figured there are some guys who have worked with it or in the Nuclear Industry. So with all this talk about the Uranium 1 stuff going on ( please no politics on this thread) what other uses is there for The type of Uranium used in this deal? I know nuclear bombs and fuel , depleted uranium rounds, x ray material and I read where it was alloyed with hss for cutting tools at one time.
Any other uses ?

All the dozens of differing medical tests using a tiny smidgen of radioactivity - like my recent heart scan - used stuff with a TEN SECOND LIFE to check blood flow in the heart

You probably should differentiate between enriched and depleted uranium. Natural and enriched uranium (high in U235) is radioactive and is pretty much limited to making bombs and fueling reactors. Depleted uranium is incredibly dense (19.1 g/cc vs 11.3 for lead) and is used for ship and aircraft counterweights (and, of course, anti-tank and other ammunition).
