This was an LMP675 car - think formula car with fenders and a funny weight balance.

So various passengers went for rides, and not a one could hold their heads up under braking or in the corners. What was funnier was the fit but small women who could just get their heads back up after braking, then when the driver stood on the gas out of the corner their heads were pinned hard against the headrest for some time.

In 1984 I worked on a March 84G Chevy. IMSA GTP. You know, before the BOP turned imsa into socialist racing. I foamed a seat and put a set of belts in the passenger side. IMSA used to have a Wednesday practice in those days and I used to be able to get a ride in open practice. It was freeking AWESOME. At Watkins Glen going down hill past the pits into that right turn at close to 200 MPH was incredible, Elkhart lake, Daytona, the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. I got a ride at lap record speeds at most of the tracks we raced at that year. And it was a great year, 7 wins and the championship.
