Horse stall mats are not tough enough, ends up going on a paver so it has to stay together under some high heat
I haven't found conveyor belting that thick, but its the same material as conveyor belting.

Common Conveyor belts are about 3/8" thick, can you bond two together to get the thickness?

Could you glue or bolt several sheets together? I am thinking this is just a flap that does not move.

I am duplicating a current design, Can't be laminated as it does move and gets crushed by the dump trucks.

What about some sort of belting for like a rock crusher or mining operation? Most standard conveyor belting seems to max out at about 3/8" thick.

A long shot, but is there anyone left around there that deals in surplus mining equipment?

Maybe some of the Surplus brokers. Eiffel Trading is one name I have seen around the web.

We used 1/2 inch belted rubber for conveyers, some wider, big rolls, marvellous stuff, any conveyor company

My local bearing supply house has conveyor belting well over 1/2" thick, but I think the width maxes at 3'. Someone likely makes the thick stuff in bigger widths.

A former employer buys this stuff by the roll for (large) gaskets:
    https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/tn/...430+4288230780

If you change the search parameters you can get exactly what you need.

I retired from the open pit mining industry. I know for a fact conveyor belting goes up to at least 60" wide and roughly 1" thick. You may not find it at suppliers for gravel pit equipment etc. That's all pretty light duty compared to high volume mining. It's extremely tough and durable since it's specifically formulated to be impact and abrasion resistant.

If it's not off the shelf, you may have to have it made. Try rubber manufacturers like

    Warco (mentioned above)
Rubber Manufacturing | BRP Rubber Products
HEXPOL Silicone Compounding - NA | HEXPOL Rubber Compounding
    Goodyear Rubber
