Where to find brake shoes for an import knee mill?

Got a Supermax step-pulley knee mill in need of new brakes. One shoe is broken so I can’t have them relined locally and these aren’t traditional Bridgeport shoes like I have replaced in the past. I suppose I could make a new one if I have to but would like to avoid it. Anybody have any leads or suggestions on where I could find them?

I wonder if car/motorcycle/cart brake shoes could be adapted to fit. What is the diameter and width. My old Volvo had small diameter drum brakes just for the parking brakes. the service breaks were disk all around.
160 or 185 mm comes to mind

looks simple enough to make from a piece of pipe and some brackets/pins welded on. How much force and heat will it see in use. What happens if it fails?
