I work for a small company and we do some light to medium machining work a few times every week. Mostly we do assembly, but we are looking to maybe use a new mill as an excuse to manufacture some more accurate fixture and work jigs in house.

We are considering a Willis 1250II and I want to know your thoughts on it! Especially professional machinists, but feel free to chime in if you are a hobbyist.

I'm look for any kind of good or bad feedback from guys who know em

A Chinese made knee mill. 40mt spindle so budget for all new tooling. Probably should order with DROs if your newbies. Hell, might as well get power feed also.
A Victor is a JF-5VS
A Sharp is a TMV-1
An Acer is an E-mill 5VK
Get some quotes from the others it's a very competative market.

Check Webb Co., also. The Willis looks suspiciously like my 1987 Webb 4VH. These Mills are made in Taiwan and as JRIowa says, are sold under several different names, including that company that starts with a "G" and paints everything retail green.

The 40 taper is very nice for a 3-5 hp mill but make sure that your floor can handle 4,000 pounds. LOL.
