Hi guys,
I have an old lathe I am refurbishing and it has an old made in USA GE Kinamatic DC motor on it with 8 wires.
Mod: 5CD14B22A111420 SLR: HBL-527 V: 180 A: 5.75 HP: 1.0 RPM: 1750
All the wires coming out of the motor are black, and were cut off by the PO.
1) How should I go about identifying the wires needed to run it to see if the lathe functions properly?
2) What will I need to get it running? I have a motor controller with bridge rectifier setup, but it only works with 2 wires, not 8.
