Hello all,

I have a Wohlhaupter UPA boring head with the wrong cone on it. I would like to change it to my standard cone. I have seen the following thread:

https://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/general/wohlaupter-upa3-boring-head-shank-removable-267389/

I think it would be possible to use the original connection style (between head and cone) but I don't really understand the screw mounting in the center.

Can anyone who has this system make me picture of the screw in the center?

Thank you

Thank you for the video. I'm looking for the specifications of the screw you use in the video. Left or right hand thread, size, differance in lead.
thx

And if you want another video describing how it works, you can take a look at

It's an hour long video, but the action you're interested in is around 5 minutes from the start. He also refers to some German university professor who also has a video on the subject as I recall.

Good luck.
