What is this "Helix Master" device?

Because my curiosity got the best of me (again), I bought this gizmo from Lectrician1, who was also curious.
Forkhardt now owns Sheffer. Called them without any luck. This thing is very well made. Got any ideas what it's for?

WAG - sharpening helical milling (and the like) cutters.

That was mostly the consensus around this neck of the woods. But it would be limited to: .375 thick with a 1.000 bore.

I'll bet a US quarter that it was for cam milling/grinding. Take a look at the little logo between Helix and Master.

Aha! I think. It's used to grind the cams for B&S screw machines. I knew that everyone was on the edge of their seats with this one!

Just hold on there pardner!

Only the 00 and 00G used a 1" bore cam. The 0 a 1 1/8 and the #2 took 1 1/4".

IIRC, any blank we bought already had the hundred divisions on it. So, the divisions on the picture labeled "Lower brass ring is eccentric" seems to go to 100. I'm having trouble remembering that far back.
