1.200” shank on rem700

Why on earth is every contour a 1.250” except the light varmint (1.200”)? I was curious if a 1.200 would be safe in an ultra mag cartridge. Don’t see a problem, but am I missing something?
 
Considering the M24/M40 and a few other contours are 1.2” shanks, I’d order the contour you want and turn .05” off the shank between centers.

I secretly wish all barrels had a 1.250” shank. That’s less collet changes for me!!!
