10-22 Split Receiver

I’ve been working on RG-G type Gatling guns for 10 years and
decided to take some time off from that.
So, I designed and built a Ruger 10-22 split receiver.
I have made a one piece , but this is much easier.
Only going .485 deep on each half

Looks good! I have often contemplated making a receiver so I could change the lousy 10/22 barrel mounting system (and go with threads). Doing it in halves makes good sense for that design.

Is your receiver wider than the factory receiver? It looks that way in the video, but it might just be that I don't look at them outside of the rifle very often.

Gene,
The stock Ruger is 1.250 , this is 1.280
My main objective on this prototype is to
get the pockets/each half correct.
After that, the outside of any more I
make could take on many shapes
