I know there’s enough metal, but why aren’t the slide cuts deeper. Seems like it would make make it easier to co-witness standard height sights, rather than going the suppressor height route. I’m sure there’s a reason for current depth, but does anyone know the reasoning? I’m setting up to mill my 1911 slide for the new Trijicon RMRcc red dot. It’s been specifically designed for single-stacks. The RMRcc is narrower so that it fits within he slide profile. My thinking is the lower the sight the better it is for concealed carry.
