    Default AR15 buffer manufacture

Has anyone here made an AR15 buffer from scratch? I'm looking at these:

JP - Buffer Springs and Silent Captured Springs

and wondering why I shouldn't just make my own. Thoughts?

other then you will get sued if you try and sell them.
and you probably will have more in making one all total
    then they sell for.

For me, this falls in the category of "Why?". If it's a learning experience, go for it. A manufacturing prototype, fine. Otherwise, it's time and money better spent elsewhere.
