Broken Scope mount screw

I have a broken scope mount screw and need to know methods of removing it ..
The smallest EZ-OUT is 1/16 inch .. that I can buy .. much smaller and it would prolly break trying to use it anyways ..

Comments, suggestions ??

Left handed drill!!! Don't bother with an EZOUT... they suck! It WILL break, and then you have a hardened peice of metal inside the screw. A left handed drill bit will probably spin it right out.

Theres enough metal to get to that I can smooth the top off to put a center drill on it to start the hole before using the leftie drill .. is that ok ?

That would be perfect.Just don't spin it to the bottom of the hole and jamb it.

Have you tried using a center punch near the edge yet. Or you could use a vibratory engraving pen. Have never had a scope mount screw fail to come out using those two methods.
