A customer brought in an older Browning BPS for bluing. It has the older style nut on the inside of the receiver to secure the safety in place. I've got it soaking in Kroil right now because the nut seems very locked in place. Anyone know any particular tips/tricks to removing this nut?
Thanks,
Mike

Not that I can see. The safety it's self has a very small hole in the center visible from the top of the gun. As far as I can see even with magnification it doesn't contain any kind of fastener nore can I see one on drawings of this gun but the hole made me wonder if there was some kind of locking function associated with it. Probably not though, even my smallest allen wrench can't enter this hole.

Not familiar with BPS, but when working with threaded fasteners that do not want to come off, always suspect the possibility of left hand threads.
