    I need to cut a new crown on a barrel that will int fir in my lathe. Any sujestions?

    I assume you are saying the "barrel will not fit in your lathe".

    If you just need to touch up the crown, you can can use the trick where you take a brass round head screw, with a dab of very fine lapping compound, and spin it with a hand drill to carefully restore the crown.

    If the whole muzzle needs work, there's always Brownell's, where you can buy piloted cutters, which will square up the muzzle and recut the crown. Very expensive though, for a one time use.
