Good job figuring it out! It gets more difficult when your new barrel is too large to fit through your indexer!
I made a carbide cutter on my Deckel SO grinder for the proper angles. PSL's require the same relief groove so save your tool.
This barrel is Lilja that was tapered for a Kimber 1.050" shank. It barely goes though the rotary table.
I got that Lilja 3 groove barrel blank cheap, but the shank was too small for a Rem700 or M70 or 98 Mauser. But it was a candidate a 1903 Turk or a Mosin.
I just finished another small shank project. A Bergara that I tapered down to fit in a 12 gauge bore.
