Help! Cut feedrails too much

Hey guys,
Made a rum out of a rem 700 magnum action and opened up the rails too much. My file grabbed more than I expected and opened it up to .575”. Now the rounds pop out the top of the magazine. How can I remedy this?

Do they make detachable box magazines for the cartridge you want to use?

Maybe you meant to do that from the start.

Ha. Of course I did!

Problem is, I made custom etched bottom metal for it..... considering cutting a thin piece of stainless to fit on the bottom side of feed rails. Can’t imagine 1/16” would make any difference except maybe with action bolt lengths

A center feed Wyatt's box magazine has it's own feed lips built in and uses BDL are bottom metal.

There is also a model that allows a longer OAL on your cartridges, though you do have to lengthen the magazine opening in your action.
