I picked up another barrel for a customer's gun and it won't screw in with the factory bushing. Lacks about .030 for the extention to contact the frame 'cause the barrel is already touching the headspace ring. I know I can get shims to move the extension to the rear (if I can break it loose) but it appears to me that this might cause the front sight to offset enough to be noticeable. Any opinions on chucking the barrel in the lathe and facing off the rear end until it will screw in?
