Does anybody here have any experience fabricating magazines? Just curious if this could be feasible accomplished at the home shop level and what equipment would be best suited for the task.

Thanks!

Go down the list of sub forums until you find the one on magazines. Set the pulldown menu to display "From The Beginning" and take a look at the series of posts on some fairly basic Magazine stamping dies and equipment.

Likely a fly press or similar mechanical press would do fine. Hydraulics are less work.

Lots of books and papers out there in the wild, on forming and shaping sheet metal.
Make two overlapping halves, jig them up and weld together. Bend up the end plate and follower, form a spring. Done.

Yeah, not so much a rabbit hole to go down, as a rabbit warren to navigate through.

But, if the OP goes down the first rabbit hole, and keeps going, he'll probably work out that they sell for pretty cheap! :)
AR-15's have forever spoiled me, 30rds for ~$10. Hell, Sig wants $40 for a 12rd P226 mag.
