    Will a stock from 410 gauge fit a 16 gauge?

    Generally, the dbl. bbl. manufacturers (LC Smith, Lefever, etc.) Made different frames for small and large gauge shotguns.
    To get a better answer, I would need to know the model etc.
    Generally, I would bet that a large gauge stock would not fit a small frame receiver. Or vice versa.

    Thanks. Owner thinks the gun was made 1908, the number stamped on barrel and other assy is 63736, with 00 stamped on second line. 16 ga hammerless. Old model. pistol grip is round.

    The owner may not be happy when I show him the manufacturer is actually Hunter. Anyone have an idea of the year made? sn 63736 plain 16ga.

    Probably not. The 410's were "small frame" receivers, and the 16's were the same size as the 12 gauge receivers.

    Thanks, I put the old one back together with a tendon and west epoxy.
