Remington 700 223 New Extractor Solid

Remington Extractor (New-Style) 700 222 223 17 Rem

Everyone seems to be out of stock and I'm in a bit of a rush so I thought about making a few.

Any chance anyone has modeled one up and is willing to share the solid? I do have a 308 bolt face one that I could likely scale down the appropriate dimensions but figured I would see if someone already modeled one.

The circlip extractors are made of some sort of special bronze......which would likely only be sourced in quantity...so even with the press tooling to form the shape,you are only half way to making an extractor.

They appear to be made of some kind of spring steel or at least the ones Surgeon includes with their actions. They stick to a magnet. Regardless D2 works just fine and I'm sure just about any steel heat treated correctly would work.

Pictures are prior to debur which I didn't feel like programing for a couple parts.

While it isn't an exact copy of a Remington it works just fine. If anyone would like the solid model just send me a message.

I'm late to the thread, but I've never considered retaining the spring clip extractor and just put in Sako-style extractors as often as I can. Here is an article about doing one, though he opens up the bolt face from .223 to .308, so it adds the complication of a bushing.
