Quick update on my progress, got the top halves done on Friday, wanted to do the whole job but had too much "real work" to keep up on and packed it in around 10pm anyway. I was a bit disheartened to find that the drilled and tapped holes are #8-40 which are apparently unobtainable. They have stainless button heads at McMaster for over 3 bucks apiece, but at that point it would be cheaper to buy a base than the screws for it, and if I do that, I'd be better off scrubbing the whole job.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

12-pack on the way, thanks for the heads-up!
