While waiting for my form 1 to return, I have nearly completed a design for my 510 whisper suppressor. The 510W is a 50 cal subsonic based on the 338 lapua cut down to 1.885". It uses about 30 grains of H110 for bullets 637-950 grains.

I have to decide whether to machine baffles in a standard 60 degree conical shape or use the K shaped design. I was told on subguns.com that my large (2"x18") would not need a K baffle, the standard conical would be enough due to the large volume. I am using a hobby lathe (12x31 grizzly) and only have regular 1/4" tool bits, a reamer set for the inside of the baffles, and a cut-of tool. Making the K baffles would be harder than the conical baffle. Any suggestions for cutting the outside of the baffle between the flanges? Here is a link for some of my older drawings.

    Thanks.
