Update on M1917 scope bases

No pictures on my computer. When I hover the mouse pointer of the little icon it says "default". I am running windows 7 with the new Microsoft Edge browser. Maybe I am the only one or not.

You all's computers are more talented than mine, I still see nothing.

With Gaskill's update I can see them now. They show the progression of the project very well. So now we know how your squirrel rifle was built, we are still waiting for your brown bear and elephant rifle builds. :-)

OK, I have added direct url's for each image for those who cannot see the images inline. The images work fine for me but they are on my website and it seems that some sites don't like http sources.

Please try again: post #25

Thanks,
It worky now.

Butch Lambert's 1917 is over the top beautiful. I know the "in process" photos fit the other thread because they will be a real help to Gazz in finishing his project. Maybe a member that lives near Butch could take some photos of his finished squirrel rifle.

Yes, Butch's rifle is quite handsome! Myself, I am done with the project. The Conetrol base worked out fine despite my miscalculation of how much metal to remove from the rear receiver ring or maybe my carbide cutter was pulling itself out of the collet but a simple shim fixed it.

I am getting old, I even commented on your base and rings. Still the solution of fastening the blocks to the receiver then finishing them could be used by many. One could make the finish cuts parallel to the bolt bore or compensate for long range. Lots of possibilities.
