Great, you, gustafson and the rest of the nuts get on a boat and head to Denmark.

You and Gustafson want to insult and degrade people, telling them they are hateful because they disagree while having zero tolerance for a difference in opinion.

You’ll fit right in with the radical nationalists that are on the rise in Europe.

You want to know the solution? The absolute HORRIBLE truth is that there is no solution. Just think to the old adage, Shit Happens.

You want to stop humans from killing each other? Wait for total nuclear holocaust, a meteor, a pulsar sweeping the planet with gamma radiation, or maybe just drug everyone until they are drooling zombies. You'll have your violence free planet then.

I don't think there is a way to eliminate the issues but there are ways to mitigate them. Better mental health care, enforcing current laws, & when enforcing laws they should be enforced fully versus a slap on the wrist.

Maybe the reason we haven't come up with a solution is ............................

because no one else has yet either.

Professionals of all kinds from FBI profilers to pediatric psychiatrists have tried to analyze mass shootings and still can't clearly identify causative factors that can define just exactly who is most at risk. They know some factors but not enough to say which individuals out of the thousands who seem to share certain traits are most likely to commit such acts. The exceptions are the devil in the details.

The latest shooter was half Asian, had a girlfriend and was socially active, including athletics and scouting. People who knew him are shocked to find out he was (allegedly) the shooter.

So again, do YOU have a solution besides your smart-ass retort?

These show a lot of the violence is caused by a relatively small number of thugs well known to the authorities. They could take many of them off the streets if they only would.
Looks like the AG is rebooting Project Exile. Might not affect the school shooting situations but would definitely help places like Chicago.

What???? Government targeting criminals instead of law-abiding citizens?

    What a radical idea.

Political correctness hindered Project Exile the last time, we'll see what happens this time.

This is complete and utter BS.
    Just more political rhetoric.
If there is any real attempt to enforce the law and help the people of Chicago, it will start with the arrest and conviction of Eric Holder.

You cannot expect the government to fix a problem they have worked so hard to create.

If anybody can make this work I believe it will be the current administration. The one that comes after, probably not so much.

A few days ago we had yet another shooting at a military base. Guns are not allowed on the base. This makes it yet one more shooting in a Gun Free Zone. When do we wake up and insist that they either do something to prevent killers from bringing guns into these areas or admit they are hollow pronouncements that are only followed by the good guys and actually make us less safe?

    I found this one interesting.
It sheds some light on the background of Ted Kaczynski - the Unabomber

Default NSSF Report on Firearm Production Figures

The The National Shooting Sports Foundation just released the firearms production figures for the most recent period available.

NSSF Releases Firearms Production Figures • NSSF

    From the report:

    • The estimated total number of firearms in civilian possession is 423 million, according to data reported in the ATF’s Firearms Commerce Report in the United States 2019 report and including the preliminary 2018 Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Exportation Report (AFMER) figures and industry estimates.
    • Approximately 17.7 million Modern Sporting Rifles were produced in the US or imported between 1990-2017.
    • Approximately half of all rifles produced in 2017 were modern sporting rifles.

Estimated number of firearms in civilian possession: 423 million

Approximately 17.7 million Modern Sporting Rifles (what the leftists call "assault rifles").

Kind of puts this "gun violence" propaganda into proper perspective, doesn't it? Problem is in parts per million, yet exaggerated into THE major threat to safety, artificially boosted by the media over several far more serious threats to health and safety.

I've met very few school teachers with enough critical thinking skills to unwind a watch.

Not so sure about that. I think my mom would have happily used an AK on some of her students ...
