Everyone,
Quick shout out of THANKS For all the help and support the past year. The 98 VF/4 which we bought non-running to fix and refurb (sweat equity) as total Haas newbies is fully functional thanks to many on this site!! PM Haas folks are a great resource and I really just wanted to say thank you to everyone. He's having a blast w/ feeds/speeds and practice parts.
DaOne, and several others who saved our arse from the $14K upgrade when the old CPU went bad-- HUGE thanks to ya'll.
(see post from me on causes and common fixes).
The kid is 21, 3rd year Collage for CAD/CAM design and Mfr - And now gets to run a Haas in our heated garage.
PS- LOVE the auger option on this thing. Glad it had one.....
PPS- last night he say's.... "Hey, think we could see how much it's worth and trade up to a NGC VF/3 or 4 SuperSpeed... LOL. The red eyes on me seemed to do the trick. honestly, I did tell him I would consider in a year. I need a break.
