I get a periodic Y axis servo fault. It's worst when the machine is cold. When is warms up, it usually works. Now it faults all the time.

I just ordered a new one from Haas. There is no core exchange. Can I have mine repaired as a spare? If so, who can do it?

It's a 30 amp Smart Drive.

The actual cable that goes to the Y axis servo motor. Some times it just needs to be tightened. Just one thing to check. The Y cable is less likely to go out then the X cable because it's stationary. (The X has to go out to the end of the table and endures more abuse.) You never know.

Well the new amp will be here in the morning so I guess we will see. It looks like the other amps have already been replaced, so I was probably due.

My name is Steve Moon. Just go to AutomationRepair.com We repair all makes and models of AC, DC, and stepper drives.
