As the title suggests, I am trying to identify this cable ending with the two female spade connectors linked together. Why is it connected like this? What is it for?
looks like someone took a switch or something out and just connected the 2 wires, bet if you disconnected them you would see an alarm.
was kinda dumb to leave them not wrapped though
So I went through the the diagnostic pages and tried contacting the tabs, and Voilà, it is the LO OIL which goes to 1 when the tabs are disconnected.
So this looks like this is for VF machines with a gearbox, and it's used to detect low oil in the gearbox.
Mine does not have a gearbox... so it could have been just this way from the factory.
