eBay Haas amp repair

Has anybody had any experience with repair service on eBay stating they can repair amp drives for around $400 with 1 year warranty? eBay seller id is cncserviceco. Haas has increased the cost of the 30A by $100 since the last time I ordered one. If you have another service that has worked well in the past, please post. Thanks Michael

You could probably do it yourself for less than $100. Replace the optocouplers, FETs, and electrolytic caps and 99% of the time you are ready to go. The optos are surface mount, so that can be a challenge.

Surface mount is actually easier. Especially if you have a proper heat gun. Otherwise clip the individual leads to remove and use solder wick to prep the pads for the new ic, then use the flood and suck method if the pitch is tight.

If replacing the IGBTs, install fresh silpads.
