Hello all!
My friend has a Haas mill, his GPD 503 posted an error (CPF04). Error indicated to reset the drive to factory parameters. Which I did. But as I was re-inputting the parameters it would freeze up. (as in keying inputs resulted in no change) So I would power cycle, and upon power cycle it was dead. It would not turn on until next day.
next time I just let the drive sit while on, and after a few minutes it would freeze up, I would power cycle and then dead and not power up until next day.
Seems like a capacitor type issue. But I am not sure
I have fixed older fanuc spindle drives before with help of this forum and hoping for the same here.
Anybody here rebuild these things?
Any input on how I may resolve this issue?
