Saw some Haas rotary tables coming up at an auction. Aside from a few pictures, there's really no descriptions, except they are 2004's.
Anybody know if these are compatible with a newer machine, like a sigma 5 brushless? I have no idea what years they made what changes and the auctions not local so I can't really go look at them.

TIA

I would guess they are Sigma I units (if they are brush-less...look for two plastic circular connectors). They didn't use Sigma V stuff until several years later.

You can use a Sigma I rotary on a later machine. I've got one on my 2015 SMM2. You just have to create a new profile for the rotary and change a parameter or two (mainly the encoder counts).

There are also cables and boxs to make them cross compatible...but its a pain.

Plug and Play should be Plug and play...not plug, plug, unplug, rewire- plug, plug unplug then change parameters, check, change, tweak and go. Maybe its just me.
