Default Haas servo 300 bar feeder question

I want to use the bar feeder as a part stop. The manual has a program example to do this.
    G105 Q7 (LOAD PUSH ROD)
G160 (ALLOW THE USE OF THE V AXIS)
G00 V-20.0 (POSITION THE PUSH ROD)
    M00 (LOAD PART)
G00 V-19.0 (BACK OFF THE PUSH ROD)
    G161 (DISABLE THE V AXIS)
    (RUN PROGRAM HERE)
    M30

The question is were did the negative numbers come from? Was the zero point set during the initial set up by bring the push rod out flush to the chuck jaws?

    Thank you
    Frankie

    Default

It's the end of pusher bar position from home zero. If you load the bar and hand jog to where you want it the position you see is what you will put into the program.
