Hi all,
Title says it all, 2010 HAAS mini Mill 2 with the HRT160 4th axis, when the axis is not turning (ie at stand still) it hums, I mean it really hums to the point you need ear plugs to work next to it for long.
It hums so bad you can feel the vibration in the freaking table !
Jogging it or running it of a G00/G01 immediately stop the hum, the air brakes does the normal "puff" prior to turning so I think it's fine, and of course E-Stop stops the hum so I'm like 99% sure this is servo related.
Looking at the parameters I've noticed the "D Filter X4" and the "D Filter X8" are both set to 0 (zero) for the A axis.
("D Filter X8" is set to 1 for X, Y and Z)
Would trying to change this represent a danger to the machine ?
I've asked my local HFO by mail but I'm in France and well HAAS service in France is interesting.... sometimes you get quick answer sometimes you don't get shit this is the you don't get shit scenario this time sigh... and I don't feel like asking him to come over because just the 8 hour drive back and forth will set me back about 1500 euros...
Has anyone had this issue and does anyone have any idea how to fix it ?
