TL 1 Remote Operation
Is there any way to remotely operate a TL 1? I need to be able to Cycle Start / Stop, E-Stop, Feed Hold, Feed Override and Jog from 500 feet away. I've been looking and can't find any obvious solutions.

Kinda curious why you would need to do this.
That’s typically setup stuff.
None of that is going to do you any good from 500 feet away.

I'm setting this machine up to machine energetic materials. Once the part is set up, all cutting operations need to be controlled from a safe distance. This would include spindle and feed overrides as well as a feed hold and jog so the setup can be rendered safe before personel approach. We've done this operation on a manual machine in the past, trying to upgrade for safety and capability.

How did you run a manual machine from 500 feet away?
What are energetic materials?

We didn't run the manual from 500 feet, more like 5 feet, and very very slowly

Haas put wired remotes on machining centers, I have them on VF2's and don't know why you couldn't put one on your lathe.
Other than that, the folke that make

A plc can do this easily with a HMI setup as an operator pannel can even incorporate webcam

What interface would I use to let the PLC communicate with the HAAS control? I've looked for HAAS ethernet or serial commands, but couldn't find anything.

I wonder if you could lengthen the wires and move the entire pendant
