wiring electrical Renishaw OMI

do I buy for my haas vf2ss year 2007. I have I/O boards with plug P77.

Omi 2H have …. Ø7.5 mm (0.29 in), 13-core/ wires screened cable,
Omi 2T have …. Ø5.8 mm (0.23 in), 6-core /wires screened cable,

so which one 13 wires or 6 wires. the connctro p77 have 10 wires ?

The 2T and 2H are slightly different, you have to dig the two wiring sheets for details. Personally, I'd go with the 2H, you'll have more that know about it.

I assume you already have macros? If not, it by far makes more $ense to buy the haas package.

As for all the extra wiring, I think there are going to be 4 wires that get used with either option. Power, Gnd, Enable probe, and enable toolsetter.

yes they are 6 wire + shield. for omi 2h I have the diagram wire.

from omi 2t I must remove low batery and other function. but the problem is which wier.

See wire color descriptions for both. The 2h H-2000-5278-94-A renishaw PDF page 15 gives all color descriptions. Also, its 6 wires not 4 like I said. There are 2 more for the probe. The 2t manual has similar info, slightly different I think.

This is the housing series, if I have it right. I bought this part to interface from the 2H to my old pcb so I could do it without cutting the end off of the 2H.

The only question is whether the matter will work if we remove those functions. I dolnt like to buy omi 2t and then dont work on haas.

Of course it will work, but you could always wire them up in series so if one is in error, the probe goes open.
