Thread: How to post an image on Practical Machinist

finally.....

I too am new to computers at 58 and am starting to feel real dumb. I completed all the Photobucket stuff but can't see or find my pictures? I "browse" and "add images" etc., etc., and then there is nowhere to go and nothing to do. I'm sure that because I was born, raised, and still live outside of the computer culture that I am missing something simple. I do not know what to do. Ed, Peter, Hambone, northernsinger, Danny, Smallshop and I should start a new group.

There are two basic requirements for posting an image:
1) Put it on a computer somewhere which is accessible from the internet; and
2) Put the address of the picture in your post.

For example, the knife drawing above is located at "http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b363/geekus/knifepractice.jpg"

If you put that (without the quotes) between a pair of image tags [ img] and [/img ] (but without any spaces inside or between the tags), it shows up as

I am trying to insert a screen image. The image is of the arc and line editor in PowerShape.




I have used Photobucket and resized the images to 50 percent.

What is a good size for the current avatar system?
Or as long as it's square it should be compressed to the 60 x 60?

I guess I need to practice one also.
