Default Why can't I see my sent private messages?

I am trying to get some help from some members through private message but when I click on my sent messages I only see messages from a while ago. I have sent a few recently that aren't showing up. Do they take some time to show up or did they not send? Thanks

When you send a PM in PM, you need to check the box at the bottom that says save a copy in the sent folder...or something like that. If you don't check that box, you won't a record of what you sent to the other person.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure the messages are actually sending.
