Quick board question:
Can the "mark all forums read" function be restored to the bar just under the PM box note? Used to be part of a Quick Links pull-down.

Feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place...

Yes, I too miss the Mark Forums Read function in the menu. The only workaround I've found is to click on "Forums" in the red menu bar at the top of the screen, once you're on the forums page scroll all the way to the bottom. ‘Mark Forums Read’ is in blue right above the bottom advertisement.

The subscribed threads have disappeared also, if you miss an answer you are S.O.L.
The majority of sites have this feature.

Try this, after subscribing to your desired threads:

http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription&daysprune=-1&folderid=all

copy it into your browser, and save it as a favorite, and label as "PMsubscribed" or something like that.

I tried it by subscribing to just one thread, but I think it should work for more.

I've done something similar to "mark all read" :

http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?do=markread

It's now just another 'favorites' button on my browser, rather than being a button on the PM menu.

If you hover over the command you want to use, it shows up at the bottom of the browser page (in Firefox, at least) so you can see what it's doing. (NOTE: since the "mark read" command was not on this forum, I went to another forum to get it.) You can right click and copy the link to paste in the navigation screen of your choice... hopefully.

Hope this is ok to post. If not, my apologies.

Best 'o luck...
Chip
