hoping some one has some good experience with a problem like this. drive spindle on my cicny has .002" wear on a bearing surface. the bearing actually fell off during disassembly. this is the top bearing in the lower set of bearings #7007ctynsul p4. one suggestion was chrome it. a good fix, but does anyone have another short of building a new shaft? i was thinking a knurl with some sort of epoxy, loctiite or devcon. any experience with that type of fix. i use this mill almost daily, but trying to keep fix to a minimum

Danny, no offence but I would never knurl a spindle. Professional fixes would be to grind to clean up, chrome and regrind to size. This forum is for professional people who ask and offer professional advise.

Loctite 620 will fill gaps up to 0.1mm if you want it quick and dirty
But this is a P4 bearing
if you want to do a good job croming is the way to go

But check out the design of your spindle also and see if the bearing sits to a shoulder and if the shoulder has wear
Try to find out why the shaft has wear
Having all the tolerances on the shaft for that bearing is also nice to have
