Default inspecting my tree j325, how to do it

    hey guys,
pretty much as title says. i have a j325 in my basement. been doing some side work, and overflow stuff. it does pretty well for an a machine of its age, but there is room for improvement.
so, on the mechanical side of things what areas should i check and best way to check for back lash and such.
i guess my main question is how to determine an issue is mechanical or something on the cnc side.
machine does seem to have something going on with back lash, i have had to replace a z axis drive and went thru tuning that. so i do have some experience on that side of it just not the mechanical side.

    thanks in advance
